Protect Endpoints, Servers, and Users from bad guys. While there are many features, I feel like I have to do a lot of clicking and hunting to get changes implemented, confirmed, and troubleshot. It's taken a fair amount of getting used to. And then, coming from Ubiquiti, I have found the interface cumbersome to understand. Since I work at a boarding school, we really want to work with the families to correct bad behavior, not just set up some obstacles and walk away. So the logs aren't designed to help you figure out if someone is trying to break rules, but rather to find potentially compromised devices. It's really designed more for a business environment where you "trust" your employees. If the router had the feature built-in, it would bring me much joy. Our previous router had that, and needing to configure a separate server for that purpose has been far more involved that I would like. The biggest gap is that it doesn't have any sort of mDNS reflector. There's a few things I wish were different. There is good amount of customizability, and since switching to Sophos from our previous vendor, I've enjoyed that ability to better differentiate the networks and even time-based access on a per network basis. Ours is connected to the Sophos UTM and Endpoint Protection software, and I do really like how they are able to talk to each other. I feel pretty confident in its ability to keep the network secure. Security is complicated, and so far I feel like it will get the job done, and done well. I really enjoy the flexibility, the power, and the ability to keep multiple firewalls in sync with each other. I realize that it sounds overall negative, but I do actually expect to have a positive term (committed to a minimum of 3 years). Their token based option to me is just OK. Over the last few years they have made really good improvements but they didn't do the best at providing free training on these changes. The VPN client is adequate but needs to be enhanced to what others are capable of for multifactor. Going into the product I knew it wasn't considered a top tier product. The feature set of their firewall product line was a great value and I also use their free home product at home because I am that type of IT nerd. If we had it to do over again at this new pricing, it would have been more like a 2.5-3 star rating. I rated this review solely on our purchased amount for firewalls. If there is any more price increases we will most likely start looking around. One last thing on pricing. I think they need to reconsider this level of price increase considering they are not yet competing in the top tier of firewall manufacturers. We will most likely stay a customer of theirs but I don't see as many new customers because of this price hike. They have done right by us.That said, in 2022&2023 they raised their product pricing multiple times with 2023 being a much higher than inflation pricing. We've gone from a single firewall to 11 across multiple locations. Your first campaign runthrough is only the starter course: you unlock loads of characters and content that make Lego Marvel Super Heroes worth returning to. Each major character offers a different kind of gameplay mechanic, making it fun to jump into the battle and take down groups of enemies-even if your character of choice is Howard the Duck toting a powerful rocket launcher. Either way, your slain opponents explode into dozens of tiny Lego blocks that serve as the game's primary currency. You can dive into a group of enemies as Wolverine and claw through everything in front of you, or harness Jean Grey's significant powers and hurl opponents into each other like human bowling pins. Unlocking new playable characters is another returning joy, thanks to the varied array of superpowers at your disposal. What better way to fight evil than Howard the Duck with a rocket launcher? The Marvel connection is a delightful complement to the spirited pace from the very beginning the first characters you play with are Iron Man and the Hulk, and the first level involves smashing everything within New York’s Grand Central Station. You've tapped your feet to this gameplay beat before, but Lego Marvel Super Heroes keeps things snappy, barely giving you time to breathe before ushering you to the next heroic task. You enter a level, smash or blast everything around you, snag the Lego pips that rain down, and perform superpowers and assemble machines that allow you to enter the next area. The Lego games have always found ways to sing new songs to a familiar rhythm. Upon finishing a level, you see Lego workers sweep up the damage you've caused, while Agent Coulson amusingly offers coffee and snacks to those around him. agent quickly producing a takeout shawarma menu-rewards a keen eye and comic book knowledge. A series of background jokes-such as Nick Fury evoking the 2012 Avengers movie by asking about lunch, and a nearby S.H.I.E.L.D. The playful writing has the characters bouncing jokes off each other, and skilled voice actors chew up the scenery with every snarl. The game revels in the cheesiness and over-the-top attitude that characterize Marvel comics. She sings: "Watching reruns of Glee / Bein’ annoying, singing in harmony / I bet she's braggin' to all her friends / Saying you’re so unique (Huh)" / So when you're gonna tell her / That we did that too, she think it's special? / But it's all re-used." Play her piano, but she doesnt know (Oh, oh). she knows billy joel cause you played her uptown girl G youre singin it. The lyrics to 'Deja Vu' see Olivia sing about an ex doing exactly the same things they did with her, with a new lover and, just like 'Drivers License', they're incredibly evocative and relatable. deja vu Lyrics from album SOUR The song is sung by Olivia Rodrigo And Olivia. What do Olivia Rodrigo's Deja Vu lyrics mean? Now, Olivia has returned with her second single as a solo artist and the meaning behind her 'Deja Vu' lyrics is just as iconic. It was released on April 1, 2021, through Geffen and Interscope Records, as the second single from her debut studio album, Sour (2021). Fans think that it was inspired by Joshua Bassett breaking up with her and dating Sabrina Carpenter. ' Deja Vu ' (stylized in all lowercase) is a song by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. People all around the world connected to ' Drivers License' and the alleged love triangle behind it. At the start of the year (Jan 7), Olivia Rodrigo transformed from a High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actress into one of the biggest popstars on the planet. On some occasions I found that when you upload an MP3 the resulting TAXI file can be a catastrophe in sound quality (which is a result from the MP3 on MP3 conversion), while when you upload the high quality WAV it works out fine. That is because their algorithm takes all files and reconfigures them as MP3 192 KBit/s files. Important tags like Composer and Title can easily be verified by simply playing the file from Windows Media Player (or other players).įor TAXI submissions however, I can recommend to never upload MP3 files, but only WAV. This gives the opportunity to set many tags easily. I don't know if it helps, but as the last step of production I normally load the high quality WAV track into Audacity, make minimal adjustments to start and ending and export it to MP3 or a new WAV file from there. I will have song title, artist name, album artist name (I make those 2 the same), album (email address) and my phone number in the comments.Ĭontributing artists: Charles P. That one pretty much always stick sand shows in most players. My method is to put my email address in as album name. My point is if you get those basic ones in there by Windows right click or other method, don't sweat the others. Based on my conversations with library owners, they rarely care about more detailed tags in an mp3 and wouldn't even look for them there. Some will have you put tags in aif files (they can stick there) but many have you send them separately by spreadsheet, form, upload to website, etc. When it comes to more details, libraries will want a hi res aif or wav file. This is in case your mp3 gets separated from it's source (email, download, etc.) What you never want to have happen is for a library to be interested in a song and have no idea who to contact about it. The main purpose is to make sure song title and your name and contact info are in there. Keep in mind that for 99% of purposes, only a few simple tags are needed for an mp3 file as far as sending to libraries, etc. If the some of the tags are different in the list of files, you'll see something like "" instead of values, but if the tags are consistent between all the selected files, you'll see the tag values you added. If you want to check all the tags for a group of files that would have all the same tags, you can select those, then go into the Extended Tags view to check out all the fields. For example, there are both One sanity check that will give you an idea if everything is there is to close down MP3tag, then load it again to check files in the same directory. The method mentioned above regarding right clicking on an MP3 file in File Manager then going to the Details tab can help, and a quick check of that on some files I just tagged with MP3tag demonstrates that it shows most of the tags I used, but not all. For example, it doesn't have the Publisher field, nor the BPM or Initial Key fields, the web site fields, etc. Cakewalk doesn't provide as many potential fields as MP3tag (and probably other programs of that sort). So, if you have an ARM-powered laptop like the legendary HP ELITE FOLIO, don’t shy away from trying Bluestacks 5. In fact, the chief designer at Bluestacks, Sharad Agawarwal, claims that ARM devices run android apps better because they don’t need binary translation. ARM processors are common in devices such as tablets and smartphones – these mobile devices are better at running android apps. What is more, Bluestacks 5 adds support for ARM processors. Cloud integration lets you to leap to the next era of computing and save disk space on your PC. The app uses artificial intelligence to help you decide whether you need to download a game and play it locally on your PC or play it directly from Bluestacks cloud servers. Basically, Bluestacks X (also known as Bluestacks 10) allows you to play games on the cloud without necessarily downloading them. An example is Bluestacks X, a feature that allows you to play games through cloud computing technology. There are extra features that Bluestacks 5 offers, which other emulators do not. You can access the file manager using the system apps folder on your home page. You can still copy files between your PC and emulator, and that remains to be its most useful feature. Certainly, nothing much has changed about how it works. Media Managerīluestacks has always had a functional file manager, but its location changes from time to time. However, you can be sure that Bluestacks 5 is enhanced for playing modern games, and you are less likely to receive errors involving an outdated operating system. The benefits of running Android Pie on your emulator are not instantly visible, as most of the improvements are tailored internally. This means you can play the latest games and adapt your emulator to your preferences. Android Versionīluestacks can now run Android 9 Pie. Boosting memory usage also increases the efficiency of your PC. Not only is the memory usage of the current version optimized, but the app also allows you to tune this capability manually through a new specialized feature called trim memory.Ĭlicking the Trim Memory feature reduces the amount of memory that Bluestacks uses, allowing you to reserve it for other apps on your PC. Thankfully, Bluestacks 5 has got you covered. Huge memory consumption can make your laptop slow and reduce your multi-tasking capabilities. No one wants an android app player that eats RAM for breakfast. This is another area where the latest version of Bluestacks shines. The rate at which I installed and ran apps in Bluestacks 5 was reasonably fast – faster than I needed the emulator to be to achieve victories in games such as clash of clans and PUBG.Īs opposed to former versions of Bluestacks, version 5 gave me a reason to keep playing. I am very hopeful that it will not betray me in the future.Īpart from boot time speeds, general computing speeds were satisfactory. Even after installing a few apps, the player starts off well without lagging. Admittedly, Bluestacks 4 had initially been fast, but the boot times increased as time passed, and I became frustrated.īluestacks 5 has very little start time. This is much different from the start times I had achieved with previous versions of Bluestacks, including Bluestacks 4. It took just under 30 seconds to start the app. However, this time, I decided to use a regular mid-range laptop – HP Elitebook Folio 1040G1.īelow is the list of the remarkable things I liked about Bluestacks 5. Traditionally, Bluestacks has only worked well on powerful machines, which is pretty understandable for people who run games. I was curious to find out if these claims were overvalued. It was praised for optimized resource consumption, lag-free gaming capabilities, improved boot times, and minimal memory requirements. The latest version is Bluestacks 5, which was released in mid-2021. Every so often, the Bluestacks Corporation releases a new version that’s better optimized and more capable of running apps smoothly. An even bigger plus is that this android app player is always evolving. This emulator is light, efficient, and fairly lenient to low-end machines.īesides, Bluestacks has always been free to download and use, so it’s accessible to everyone. Bluestacks has always been the go-to software for playing android apps on PC for millions of gamers around the world. &Tradition, Alessi, Artek, Arteriors, Bambrella, BDI, Bernhardt Design, Big Ass Fans, Blomus, Blu Dot, Calligaris, Capital Lighting, Carl Hansen, Casablanca Fan Company, Cerno, Cherner Chair Company, Chilewich, Contardi Lighting, Copeland Furniture, Corbett Lighting, Craftmade, Currey & Company, Cyan Design, dweLED, EcoSmart Fire, Eglo, Elan Lighting, ET2 Lighting, Ethnicraft, Fanimation Fans, Fatboy, Feiss, Fermob, Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting, FLOS, Fredrick Ramond, Fritz Hansen, Gabriel Scott, Gan Rugs, George Kovacs, Greenington, Gus Modern, Heller, Hennepin Made, Herman Miller, Hinkley, Hubbardton Forge, Hudson Valley Lighting, Humanscale, Hunter Fans, Huppe, Iittala, J. These 2 original pieces were created for the newly renovated Centurion Lounge, drawing from the dense fog and dramatic elevations of San Francisco to evoke a sense of home while enlivening a spirit for adventure. Her artistic style channels aspects of Chinese brush painting, abstraction, with some architectural sensibilities sprinkled throughout, giving voice to her ever evolving relationship with faith, ethnicity, and narrative. Tracie’s aesthetic continues to be formed by the beauty and intricacies of the different cultures around her. The lines undulate in and out of visibility and reality while the paint provides shelter and contrast, allowing the paintings to maintain an assuring familiarity while remaining otherworldly. Resembling nature, fractals, complex patterns or forms, Tracie’s paintings are inspired by all the wondrous and regular things around us. For example, an athlete who has a poor change of direction capacity may not perform as well “aerobically” on the test in comparison to an athlete who has a good change of direction capacity (3). Variations of the test: Basketball (4), Wheelchair Basketball (5) and Ice Hockey (6)Īs expressed in the name, the 30-15 IFT is an ‘intermittent’ test, this means athletes are required to perform intense exercise followed by a recovery and repeat this until volitional exhaustion.Being used for training prescription (3).Identifying an athlete’s anaerobic velocity reserve (ARV) (3).Identifying an athlete’s repeated change of direction capacity (3).Identifying an athlete’s maximal aerobic speed (3).Since its original development, it has been diversified to do many different things. The ’30-15’ simply refers to the work-to-rest ratio/time – meaning the test requires athletes to run for 30-seconds and then recover (i.e. The 30-15 IFT consists of 30-second shuttle runs interspersed with 15-second walking recovery periods. first 30-second shuttle run), and this speed increases by 0.5 km/h for every 30-second stage thereafter. So, the running speed at stage 1 is 8km/h, stage 2 is 8.5km/h, stage 3 at 9km/h and so on.Īthletes are required to run back and forth between the two lines set 40-metres apart (Figure 1) at a speed governed by an audio “beep”. As the individual progresses through the levels, the time between the beeps decreases giving the individual less time to complete each shuttle, thus increasing the speed/intensity of the test. The two 3-metre zones in the middle of the testing area (6-metres in total) exist so that the athletes can gauge the required running speed, and therefore adjust their speed accordingly (i.e. The two 3-metre end zones/turning lines also help guide the athlete to adjust/maintain their speed. During the 15-second recovery period, athletes are required to walk in a forward direction towards the closest 3-metre zone this zone is where they will start the next running stage from.Īthletes must reach the next 3-metre zone – either the middle one or the end zones – on a consistent basis. Participants begin the test from the ‘start-line’ (Zone A).Failure to reach the next 3-metre zone on three consecutive occasions results in elimination from the test. But it’s only by looking at real data that we can make an informed judgment. Retail theft has become a cudgel used to attack policies such as California’s Proposition 47, which reclassified some lower-value felony theft offenses as misdemeanors. That makes transparency about retail crime more important. Worryingly, violent incidents, which sometimes involve theft, have risen too, putting workers in danger. Crime statistics, National Retail Federation surveys and other data also show that theft has increased. We know that the majority of shrink is composed of theft, by both outside parties and retail employees. None of this is to suggest that retailers are being completely untruthful or that theft isn’t an issue. Profits are affected by an enormous number of factors, and it’s all too easy to hide other issues behind crime. Dick’s blamed much of the decline on theft but did not quantify the impact, so it’s impossible to know the true scale of the problem. This problem is particularly acute when retailers speak generally about the effect of crime on profits, as Dick’s - whose net earnings just dropped 23% - did in its latest update. This lack of transparency is an issue both for investors and for informed public discourse on the matter. So increasing shrink rates could be due to deteriorating internal processes as much as or more than theft. Unfortunately, however, few retailers go into much depth about the composition of their shrink. Retail theft is often committed by a store’s own employees, for example, or by customers at self-checkout. It’s also worth noting that the portion of shrink that can be blamed on crime isn’t entirely due to shoplifters or the sort of brazen robberies that attract public attention. Walgreens and other retailers have blamed store closures on high theft rates and are testing new concepts to combat crime. Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ulta Beauty, Dollar Tree, Foot Locker, Home Depot, Walmart and other retailers also identified crime as a growing problem this earnings season. Target’s shrink is on course to pass the $1-billion mark this year, up from $763 billion last year. Total retail “shrink” - usually cast as a proxy for theft - was $94.5 billion in 2021, up from $90.8 billion in 2020, according to the National Retail Federation. Top-line figures generally support the view that retail crime has increased. We are, it seems, living through an epidemic of retail crime. And sensational crimes such as the recent mob robberies at malls in Canoga Park and Glendale have grabbed news headlines. Videos of people walking out of stores with armfuls of goods they didn’t pay for have captured attention on social media. It’s become a buzzword on retail earnings calls. |
